Client: S.H. Stainless Steel Contractor Pte Ltd
Sector: Manufacturing & Construction
Engagement: Ongoing, since 2021
The Challenge
S.H. Stainless Steel Contractor needed to export generator sets from their factory to Laem Chabang, Thailand and Jakarta, Indonesia. The gensets exceeded standard road transport limits and triggered route restrictions, meaning each shipment had to be split across standard containers and breakbulk pieces — with individual breakbulk components weighing as much as 58 tonnes.
The Solution
Eng Lee handled ocean freight and inland haulage from the client's factory to Singapore port, combining FCL containers and breakbulk shipments for each set, with auxiliary escort support for the oversized road movements.
The Outcome
What started as a single export run has become an ongoing partnership since 2021, with Eng Lee now moving 2–3 gensets a month — each safely and reliably cleared for export despite persistently challenging dimensions and road restrictions.
