Client: UES Holdings Pte Ltd
Sector: Environmental Infrastructure
Engagement: Q1–Q3 2025

The Challenge
UES Holdings needed to deliver and install a set of oversized process equipment — two 10m lime saturators, two 7m saturated lime holding tanks, and three 21m silos — at the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) in Tuas South. Road restrictions ruled out a straightforward land delivery for several of the units, and the client was weighing whether to assemble on site or import the equipment pre-built from China, a decision that carried real trade-offs between logistics complexity and on-site labour.
The Solution
Eng Lee managed the full last-mile delivery by sea and land, moving the equipment from Singapore port to the site's waterfront using a barge and tug combination, then discharging and installing it on site with a 700-ton mobile crane fitted with a 36m luffing jib, supported by a 250-ton crane to tilt the silos upright. Multi-axle trailers and auxiliary escorts handled road transport and internal repositioning of the oversized cargo.
The Outcome
By handling delivery and installation as a single coordinated scope, Eng Lee cut the manpower and time UES would otherwise have spent on site assembly — shaving roughly 50% off the projected timeline and letting production start earlier than planned.
